Privacy policy.
What this site collects, why, and how long we keep it. Short version: an email if you join the waitlist, your numbers if you use the calculator, and whatever you write to us.

Who we are
Klaim, London. We are the data controller for everything described here. Questions, or any of the requests below: privacy@klaim-app.com.
What we collect on this site
This is a pre-launch site. It does not connect to your bank and it collects nothing automatically beyond what your browser sends to load a page. There are three ways you can give us something:
- The waitlist. Your email address, and a campaign tag if you arrived from a link that carried one (for example a UTM parameter), so we can tell which campaigns brought people in. Nothing else: no name, no phone, no password.
- The restaurant ROI calculator. The slider values you set and the projection they produce, stored against a random identifier for your browser session so repeated adjustments update one record rather than piling up. Your email and restaurant name are stored only if you tick the consent box and ask us to send you the numbers. We keep a short one-way hash of your browser's user agent, and we do not store your IP address.
- The contact form. Your name and email, plus your restaurant name and phone number if you choose to add them.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- Waitlist and calculator runs: our legitimate interest in building and measuring demand before launch. You can ask us to erase either at any time.
- Sending you your calculator numbers, or marketing email: your consent, given by ticking the box. We store the exact sentence you agreed to and when. You can withdraw it at any time and every email carries an unsubscribe link.
- Answering your enquiry: our legitimate interest in replying to someone who got in touch.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist entries: until we launch in your area and you decide, or until you ask us to erase them.
- Calculator runs without contact details: 12 months, then deleted.
- Calculator runs that include contact details: until six months after our follow up, unless you become a customer.
- Enquiries sent through the contact form: 24 months from your last contact with us.
Who else touches it
Only the services we need to run the site, each under a processor agreement, and none of them get it for their own purposes:
- Railway hosts this site, the API and the database.
- Our transactional email provider sends the emails you ask for. It is configured to process in the EU.
We do not sell or share your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. Where we produce statistics or insights, they are aggregated and anonymised so no individual can be identified.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or restrict what we do with it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email privacy@klaim-app.com and we will come back to you within a month.
If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party tags of any kind. It does keep a little data in your own browser so the pages behave sensibly. What that is, and how to clear it, is on the cookies page.
When the app launches
Connecting a bank account happens in the Klaim app, not here, and via FCA regulated providers: read-only, revocable from your bank at any time, and never exposing your card number, PIN or banking login to us. That has its own policy, which you will see before you connect anything.
